I'm not sure why, but I ended up picking up some watercolor paper. Maybe it's the weather? There's a nice view down the street and the trees are just leafing out.
There's a place near me that does pretty nice little collections of things to nibble on or some butter, ham, and bread, and you could join me?

Watercolors and you? Along with a cafe? How can I say no to that? I need to get out of this apartment as it is, I think I may be hallucinating on the fumes from the rather different painting they've been doing in the halls.
Anything I should bring?

Look, it's not his fault that he picked the apartment for being affordable, close to work, and quiet. The fact that the hot water tank was his own and generous was a bonus. Besides, it made up for being on the southwest side, and a bit stifling in summer. Cold baths and buying a few fans made up for a lot of issues.
